I am a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor, and have an Honours Degree in Psychology, a Diploma in Integrative Counselling, a Diploma in Supervision and a Certificate in Couples Counselling. I also trained with Cruse Bereavement Care.
My counselling approach integrates the Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioural schools of thought which help to offer insight into difficulties which may arise from the past, your current situation or automatic thoughts and feelings that may not be beneficial within your life. Each theory is used independently, but complements the others so that as you pass through the various stages within your counselling, a different approach can be utilised which may meet your needs more appropriately at each particular stage.
Each session is tailored for each individual and we will discuss the most appropriate approach for you during our first session.
I provide counselling for individuals and couples from my private practice in Sidcup, Kent. The issues that I deal with vary, but include bereavement, sexual abuse, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem and depression. I also offer supervision to qualified and trainee counsellors.
